Matteo Rubei

Chief Financial Officer

Matteo is a finance professional with more than ten years of international experience in financial reporting, planning and strategic management. Before joining Latitude, he was Group Head of Financial Reporting at Henley & Partners, where he co-led the global finance function and was closely involved in developing financial strategy, strengthening executive reporting and improving performance management across multiple jurisdictions.

In this role, Matteo played a central part in transforming the way the group approached it’s finances. He introduced automation that streamlined day-to-day processes and oversaw the successful upgrade and integration of core accounting and operational systems. His efforts not only made financial reporting faster and more reliable but also gave senior leadership greater visibility over performance, strengthened financial controls and built a stronger foundation for growth and quick decision making.

Previously, Matteo served as Financial Controller and Head of Operations at Trident Trust in Malta, where he was responsible for the full finance function across the 3 local entities as well as building and expanding the operational support team. Earlier roles at EY in both Malta and Newcastle provided him with a strong grounding in accounting, corporate reporting and transaction advisory services.

Qualifications

Matteo is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Insurance and Finance from the University of Malta.
