Who Can Get A Italian Investor Visa

  • Only nationals of countries outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland are eligible

  • Must have comprehensive health coverage valid in Italy for the duration of the residence permit

Program Requirements

To be eligible for the Italy Investor Visa, you must satisfy one of the following three requirements.The investment needs to be maintained during the validity of the visa. There are no additional investment requirements for including a spouse, children, or any dependent parents.

  • €500,000 minimum in Italian shares (reduced to €250,000 if investing in innovative start-ups)
GOVERNMENT BONDS
  • €2,000,000 minimum purchase of Italian government bonds
PROJECTS OF PUBLIC INTEREST
  • €1,000,000 minimum investment in projects of public interest in Italy, such as culture, education, ecology, immigration management, research and development, arts, and heritage. This is a non-refundable donation

Application Process

  • Month 1

    Client Onboarding and Due Diligence

    You will complete Latitude's Form 1, which enables us to carry out our initial due diligence and onboarding. Following the successful screening, Latitude will provide a Client Agreement (CA) for your review and signature.

    Upon receiving the signed CA and retainer payment, our team of professionals will start completing all the necessary government forms and collate the supporting documents.

  • Month 2

    Nulla Osta and Visa Application

    Through a dedicated online portal to the Investor Committee, Latitude will apply for the Nulla Osta, a clearance/authorization issued by Italian authorities. Once granted, Latitude can then submit your Investor visa application through the Italian Consulate in your country of residence.

  • Month 3

    Entry to Italy

    Once your application is granted, you receive a two-year visa giving you flexibility to decide when you will visit Italy for the first time.

    Within 8 days of entering Italy, you must apply for the residence permit at the Police headquarters, by providing them your fingerprints and other personally details.

  • Month 4-6

    Investment

    After entry into Italy, you have 90 days to complete your eligible investment.

  • End of Year 2

    Residence Permit Renewal

    The initial residence permit granted under the Italy Investor Visa is valid for two years. It can be renewed for an additional three years, provided (a) the investment is maintained, (b) the Investor can demonstrate nominal financial resources to support themselves and any dependents, and (c) the Investor can provide proof of suitable accommodation in Italy. This can be demonstrated through:

    • A rental contract (contratto di locazione)
    • A property purchase agreement (atto di compravendita)
    • A declaration of hospitality (dichiarazione di ospitalità) if staying with someone else
