You will complete Latitude's Form 1, which enables us to carry out our initial due diligence and onboarding. Following the successful screening, Latitude will provide a Client Agreement (CA) for your review and signature.
Upon receiving the signed CA and retainer payment, our team of professionals will start completing all the necessary government forms and collate the supporting documents.
Through a dedicated online portal to the Investor Committee, Latitude will apply for the Nulla Osta, a clearance/authorization issued by Italian authorities. Once granted, Latitude can then submit your Investor visa application through the Italian Consulate in your country of residence.
Once your application is granted, you receive a two-year visa giving you flexibility to decide when you will visit Italy for the first time.
Within 8 days of entering Italy, you must apply for the residence permit at the Police headquarters, by providing them your fingerprints and other personally details.
After entry into Italy, you have 90 days to complete your eligible investment.
The initial residence permit granted under the Italy Investor Visa is valid for two years. It can be renewed for an additional three years, provided (a) the investment is maintained, (b) the Investor can demonstrate nominal financial resources to support themselves and any dependents, and (c) the Investor can provide proof of suitable accommodation in Italy. This can be demonstrated through:
• A rental contract (contratto di locazione)
• A property purchase agreement (atto di compravendita)
• A declaration of hospitality (dichiarazione di ospitalità) if staying with someone else
You must have held a valid residence permit and lived continuously and lawfully in Italy for ten years. Periods spent outside of Italy must be brief and justifiable (e.g., travel, emergencies). Prolonged absences can restart the clock.
You must also prove integration into Italian life, including basic knowledge of the Italian language (level B1 minimum), awareness of Italian civic culture and values, ability to communicate and function in daily life.
Yes, future children of an Italy Investor Visa holder can be eligible for Italian citizenship, but how and when they become eligible depends on where and when they are born, and whether the parent has already naturalized as an Italian citizen.
